Solar Powered Charger Anyone?

March 14, 2007 by Michele Neylon

I love mobile gadgets. They’re wonderful. You can take them wherever you go.

The big problem with any of them, however, is that their battery life may not be as good as you would like and, needless to say, you won’t be anywhere near a socket when the battery runs dry.

Solar Technology’s “Freeloader” may help.

Don’t be fooled by its appearance.

While the outside of the freeloader may look “low tech” it hides a very clever design.

Two solar panels detach so that you may charge it up using that wonderful natural resource – solar energy.

The kit comes with a huge choice of connectors, so everyone should be happy.

The only problem is getting enough sunlight to actually charge it!
