If you want to listen to your iPod or iRiver or other mobile mp3 player in your car you need some way of connecting it to your car stereo.
If you only have an iPod and never intend getting anything else, then you can simply choose one of the many itrip clones that are on the market.
However if you’re like me and want the freedom to choose, then you need something else.
The only device that I’ve come across that is truly capable of achieving this is the istuff icast universal FM transmitter:
Giving you the ability to wirelessly play your tunes through ANY FM radio, the iCast frees you from cables and cassette adaptors, allowing you to enjoy your music wherever you are. It connects through the standard headphone port, meaning that anything from sat nav units to iPods to laptops can all have their sound heard through your home or car stereo.
It sounds like the perfect solution, doesn’t it?
It also looks really cool:
The only place that seems to sell them online is iPodWorld
I’ve bought from them in the past and found the service to be excellent.
The only downside is that they don’t accept paypal payments, which is a pity as I have some cash on my paypal account I’d love to have used.
I love gadgets like that. I’ve got an FM transmitter for my iPod already but it can be patchy and it doesn’t look anything as cool as that! 😀
I’ve been using it on and off for the last couple of days and it works really well. The odd time you need to retune it slightly, but I can live with that 🙂
